Administrative / strategic planning / prayer room facilitator

 

This position will require that you work closely with the leadership team. Creating and maintaining gospel partnerships with local churches, organizations, and missionaries is a vital part of the mission. This will include meeting with existing partners, cultivating new partnerships, communicating with missionary teams on the field, generating support for mission trips, and involvement in the strategic planning of current and future mission trips to the villages.  

 

WE are looking for a missionary who loves to strategize, carry out logistical tasks, and maintain the administrative aspects of the ministry.

 

most importantly we are seeking a missionary who is devoted to prayer. We believe everything that we do, especially strategic planning, will be birthed in the prayer room (see prayer room tab).

 

NOTE: This position requires you to move to Wasilla, Alaska and raise your own support (FAM will cover $1,000/month of the support that you raise).

New frontier missionaries

​

One of the things that makes Fam unique, is that we want to specifically reach the villages of Alaska that are unreached. we are looking to partner with missionaries who have received a clear call from God to enter into unreached villages. This requires believers who have displayed strong biblical character, solid biblical theology, and the ability to persevere through the harsh elements and spiritual opposition that you will face in the villages of Alaska. 

 

you will work closely with the leadership team, spend significant amounts of time in the prayer room, and begin taking trips to unreached villages to establish relationships with the people in the village. The strategy for each missionary that partners with fam is found in Luke 10: Pray to the lord of the harvest, sent out two by two, no monetary or worldly strategies, sheep among wolves (enduring persecution), finding the people of peace, proclaiming the gospel and healing the sick, loving God and loving the people (Good Samaritan), and cultivating healthy rhythms of worship, prayer, and rest (Mary of Bethany). We firmly believe that Jesus's strategy is the best strategy, and those who decide to partner with fam must obey him above all else!

Prayer room missionaries

​

In case you haven't gathered this yet, we firmly believe that the only way we are going to see a move of God in the villages of Alaska, is through a people devoted to prayer. therefore, we are looking to bring on fully funded missionaries who are specifically called to intercession. The scriptures are clear that prayer is essential to the missionary call. 

 

the responsibility for prayer room missionaries is simple. You will spend significant amounts of time facilitating and overseeing the prayer room. Upholding sound doctrine and maintaining orderly worship is something the scripture places much emphasis on, and we want to uphold this practice.

Training / Equipping / Teaching missionaries

​

We desire for our teams and missionaries to have a solid biblical theology of God and his mission. this will require missionaries who feel called to the ministry of teaching and equipping. 

 

One of our values is to partner with local churches in order to train and equip believers for the missionary call to the villages. This role will encompass training and equipping current missionaries, weekend intensives with local churches, as well as training and equipping those who we reach in the villages in order to raise them up to minister in their local context. Our training, equipping, and teaching missionaries will also spend a significant amount of time investing in the interns who are partnered with FAM.
